Our club partners with three dynamic North Valley organizations, the Arts Council of the North Valley, Promusica Arizona Chorale and Orchestra, and AZ Dance Group.
During the course of the year, our members provide thousands of hours of support for arts related events held in our community. Our members do everything from selling tickets, and performing usher duties, to helping in the initial planning and execution of the events. Our support allows our partner organizations to more fully focus on the artistic elements of the events and our community as a whole reaps the rich rewards.

Relay for Life 2009
Our club participated in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life held in Anthem, in October 2009
The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life is an overnight event that mobilizes communities to celebrate survivors (anyone who has ever been diagnosed with cancer), remember loved ones and raise money for the fight against cancer.
Our team, along with over thirty others, spent the night at the Boulder Creek High School track. We stayed in tents and slept in sleeping bags while keeping one person from our team on the track at all times. That night was an amazing experience for all of us. It was an emotional journey that brought together many people from our community to make a stand against this horrible disease. That night, more than any other, we learned what community and making a difference is truly about.
The event began with all the cancer survivors taking the track for the first lap. It was then, as we watched, family, friends and some of our own club members file past that the staggering toll this disease has taken on a community even as small as ours became apparent. That very emotional opening drove home how critically important each of ours ongoing commitment to fight this disease is. The highlight of the evening was the luminaria Ceremony of Hope. It was held after dark to honor cancer survivors and to remember loved ones lost to cancer. The luminaries, bearing the names of those honored, were placed around the track and left burning throughout the night, to remind all of us of the incredible importance of why we were there.
Through the sale of luminaria and donations solicited by our members, our club was able to contribute over $,3000.00 to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
